Okay okay okay just stop. Be serious. Do people really want the All-Star game to be serious and competitive? Really? Why?
There’s already 82 competitive regular season games. Why can’t the All-Star Game just be for fun? To see the players have fun? That seems like a really rare gift to me. https://www.si.com/nba/2024/02/19/nba-fans-bashed-2024-all-star-game-for-lack-of-competitiveness https://www.on3.com/pro/news/multiple-media-members-call-out-the-2024-nba-all-star-game/ https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/19/sport/nba-all-star-game-2024-east-vs-west-spt-intl/index.html So, the league is negotiating new TV deals and for this (like a mazillion, gorillion, money-isn’t-even-real imaginary dollars) they want to be able to say the All-Star games will be more competitive. Once they negotiate a 10-year monster contract, the games will be whatever the games are. But right now, Silver was up everybody’s ass to put on appearances. Players don’t want the All-Star Game to be more competitive, because All Star Week is when you chill, relax your brain, and heal nagging injuries. It’s for fun. Everybody says they love street ball until they get to watch the best ballers in the world do it and then they want those guys to get serious? I don’t buy it. Looking on Twitter now and when I see tweets that start with “In my day…” sorry sir, you’re a bot.

“NFL player survey: Too many rats; not enough trainers”
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39616360/dolphins-vikings-top-players-survey-nfl-teams-chiefs-31st Be honest: would you read this if it were titled “Dolphins, Vikings top players' survey of NFL teams; Chiefs 31st”? I was thinking that, after I write my fanfic episode guide to “Now You’re Talking,” TG4 should promote it and the show as a great resource for beginning learners, and good way to do that would be to make t shirts and other swag with subtitled stills from the show.
imagine the above still with Deirdre crying on her bed, sobbing “Cad chuige?” It kind of reminds me of the Roy Lichtenstein piece “Crying Girl.” Photo credit: still screenshot of Anne Learmont as Deirdre Blair in “An Baile Mór” from “Now You’re Talking,” Gael Media and TG4. Our trains and other uses of technology to improve everyone’s lives are like those backwards hillbilly jokes about Russia people used to make in the’90s.
Srsly I do not understand social hierarchies. Why would anybody not want to know me?
Or anyone? Fr people really think they only want to know people as “Good” as them. That is the saddest failure of imagination I have ever heard of. knowing myself as I do, and the fact that I closed 312 tabs yesterday in only one browser I will never remember a bookmark. Now can I learn to use tags?
Anyway. Wiktionary has alternate dialect conjugations of I guess the common and or irregular verbs in Irish, of which feic- (to see) is giving me the most fits right now. “ In Ulster, the present indicative, past habitual, future, and conditional have independent forms built on the stem tí- (also spelled tchí-); the feic-forms listed above are dependent and are only used in the present and habitual. The simple past indicative independent form is thainic or thanaic(the dependent form being faca, as in the standard language):” The best logo ever? If you don’t need to read it, or recognize the elements, or have business with OPEC, you will never notice this logo, even in plain sight. But if you do, it’s incredibly distinctive and appealing. It does some of the shape stuff the old PBS logo did, grabbing your eye again and again to unpack what’s being implied or symbolized.
The four circles look like refinery tanks seen from above. I don’t know what the “p” stroke is doing. Maybe a derrick, but upside down? Maybe a crane. Before this time, nobody ever encouraged me to write as myself. For myself. Like myself. Two years in, I’ve barely begun to see who that even is.
