Essays and photo essays are always free on that site, but you must be a paid subscriber to access written fiction, at least for now.
Full-access subscriptions start at $1 per month. I am hoping my work can inspire conversations about the structures and complexities of our lives today, and I would like my work to be accessible to the broadest range of readers, not limited to readers with more discretionary income.
I consider myself an outsider artist, which is the reason I want the widest possible access to my work. I have worked for my own support since I was a young teen, and had to put off developing my writing until now, basically my retirement. I don't like the way our systems of education, publishing, and social access are gatekeeping the making and publishing/distributing of art away from the greatest number of talented people. I do believe in supporting other independent artists and writers to learn, publish, and distribute.
